Religious Involvement 1
On September 3, 2023, I attended a Sunday service at our church Miracle Life Church located at Macate, Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya and this is my reflection.
“The Mustard Seed”
Matthew 13:31-32
[31]Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The
kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his
field,
[32]which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it
is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of
the air come and nest in its branches.”
The Parable of the Leaven Small things matter in His
kingdom:
- It's been said that big doors open on small hinges. In the Kingdom of God, Heaven's riches are unlocked by small acts done with great amounts of love— the very small areas where we served faithfully and showed up willingly. In God’s kingdom, our ‘less-than’ becomes more than enough. In His Kingdom, SMALL is BIG. Kasi hindi naman magkapantay ‘yung applause ng mga tao at ni Jesus. Their affirmation is nothing when compared to Jesus’ applause.
- God wants us to take a small act of service towards
others.
- Small ways = great ways.
- Your mustard seed of kindness can be planted in someone’s
discouragement, and hope will grow in their lives. Kaya don’t miss the chance
God is giving you to help and serve others.
- Your mustard seed of standing on God's Word, in the midst
of seemingly hopeless situations, can cause optimism and joy to spread to those
who need it the most.
Reflection:
Are you kind to others? In what ways can I help and serve
them?
Application:
Never get tired of helping others even in the smallest
possible way. A simple “how are you today”. Practice gratitude and be kind.
Simple man sa paningin ng mga tao, pero sa mata at kaharian ni Lord, MALAKI
‘iyan.
* Let's live our lives with a renewed faithfulness and
commitment to the small. Remembering that every moment in what some may
consider a small life is a moment painted with great love on the canvas of
God's grand masterpiece. Strokes that please the artist and enable Him to use
us in many more ways, because He trusts us and sees our obedience.
